Introduction to Coaching
Coaching involves a range of skills and behaviours that enhance your effectiveness as a leader or manager. In this course, you’ll explore the benefits of coaching, how it differs from other development approaches, the key skills needed, and the coaching process itself - empowering colleagues to discover their own solutions.
Course objectives:
Identify what coaching is and explain how it differs to other helping roles
List the key skills used in coaching, describing how and when you may use them, and why these are so important
Recognise coaching challenges in the workplace and identify how these can be overcome
Have a go at using a coaching model in practise and explain how it can support the development of employees
Create an individual development action plan of commitment to apply these skills in the workplace.
Duration:
5 hours. This course requires a small amount of pre-work to be completed by delegates.
