Introduction to Coaching
Coaching involves a range of skills and behaviours that enhance your effectiveness as a leader or manager. In this course, you’ll explore the benefits of coaching, how it differs from other development approaches, the key skills needed, and the coaching process itself - empowering colleagues to discover their own solutions.
Course objectives:
- Identify what coaching is and explain how it differs to other helping roles 
- List the key skills used in coaching, describing how and when you may use them, and why these are so important 
- Recognise coaching challenges in the workplace and identify how these can be overcome 
- Have a go at using a coaching model in practise and explain how it can support the development of employees 
- Create an individual development action plan of commitment to apply these skills in the workplace 
Duration:
5 hours. This course requires a small amount of pre-work to be completed by delegates.
